Serving pizza and traditional Italian food from many regions of Italy, Luigi’s Pizza and Pasta in Abode Square is a favorite among Pacificans. It won the readers’ poll for Best Italian Food.
Luigi Latoremma is the owner and main chef, cooking as they do in Italy.
Customer favorites include meatballs, eggplant parmigiana, lasagna, manicotti and canneloni. Latoremma crafts the sauces and the pastas and works them to perfection. The hearty minestrone soup, made every day, is filled with fresh vegetables. Everything is made on site.
He also has a heart of gold when it comes to donating to the many non-profit organizations in town or lending his restaurant out for various fundraisers.
Originally from Napoli, Latoremma came to California with his family when he was 15 years old. They found the Mediterranean climate agreeable, as it is similar to Italy. The family settled in the Bay Area and eventually Latoremma found his way to Pacifica.
